Telehealth.hhs.gov: This federal website offers resources and tips on how to best engage with telehealth. This tool is meant for both patients seeking care and practitioners delivering care via telehealth.
American Medical Association – Telehealth Toolkit: A guide geared towards medical professionals to help implement comprehensive telehealth programs.
American Telemedicine Association: ATA represents a member network of healthcare delivery systems, academic institutions, technology solution providers and payers working to advance telehealth, promote responsible policy, and provide resources to help integrate virtual care into emerging value-based delivery models.
Blandin on Broadband: Resources and information that supports and promotes broadband access and use – especially in rural Minnesota.
HRSA Office for the Advancement of Telehealth: A federal resource increasing access to care for underserved people in rural communities through grant programs and public partnerships.
HRSA Telehealth Resource Assistance Centers
gpTRAC: This is a federally funded technical assistance center hosted through the University of Minnesota. It provides training, tailored consultations, and print and web-based resources to healthcare organizations of all kinds seeking to design, implement, grow, sustain, and evaluate telehealth services. gpTRAC serves the Great Plains region.
The National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers: The National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers (NCTRC) is dedicated to building sustainable telehealth programs and improving health outcomes for rural and underserved communities.
Center for Connected Health Policy: The CCHP is the national telehealth policy resource center. It has various federal and state-based resources. These include telehealth policy and reimbursement by state, national policy updates, and state tracker covering topics such as regulatory, cross-state licensing, and reimbursement.
Licensure
Federation of State Medical Boards: Provides telemedicine policies by state and information on the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
Mobilizing Health Care Workforce via Telehealth: ProviderBridge.org was created by the Federation of State Medical Boards through the CARES Act and the FORHP-supported Licensure Portability Grant Program. The site provides up-to-date information on emergency regulation and licensing by state as well as a provider portal to connect volunteer health care professionals to state agencies and health care entities.
Online Resource for Licensure of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers: The Multi-Discipline Licensure Research project site provides up-to-date information on emergency regulation and licensing in each state for several disciplines.
PSYPACT: An interstate compact designed to allow licensed psychologists to practice telepsychology and conduct temporary in-person face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries.
Patient Internet Resources
Lifeline: Is a program that will apply up to $9.25 in credit to a patient’s phone or internet bill.
The Affordable Connectivity Program: Can help a patient pay their internet bill. They can ask their current internet company for more information.
